Too Much Too Young - I remember the Boys Own fanzines from back in the day and thought I'd give the collection a go - fuck me, have you seen the price it's going for!
Oh, and Catch 22 - the bombing raids on their own troops has me pissing myself every time.

I don't think Knut Hamsun is particularly a writer you'd go for looking for humour, although admittedly I did laugh out loud a couple of times at Growth in the soil.

I read this and laughed out loud and chuckled my way through it. I couldn't put it down.

Any of the early Tom Sharpe. Sometimes hysterically funny.
Any of Douglas Adams stuff. Very clever and very funny.
Any of P.G. Wodehouse's 71 novels. I say any, I've got about 30 of them, but they're all superb. 'The Code Of The Wooster's' stands out.
And the Molesworth stories by Nigel Willans are great.

Gaiman has a new book out a couple of days ago, I think. "Norse Mythology"
I believe it's him retelling the classic myths, but with his own twist. He has a knack for reinventing classic myths and fairy tales, as you probably know well.

Everything else I've read of his has been a bit disappointing, but the book that made PG Wodehouse famous, 'Something Fresh' is really good.
Three Men in a Boat is pretty funny, but I've always lost interest after a while. It's like a string of jokes without a story.
H.L Menken's satire is very clever and about as relevant today as it was when he wrote it.
"Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary."
